In addition, they can win alot of money in these games, which is certainly an advantage since most of them live on a fixed income anyway.
Bingo Lovers can still take part at Cache Creek Casino’’s bingo games but it is only until October 31, 2006, because casino officials plan to remove both their bingo parlor and events hall so that they can make room for their slot machines and poker tables. Wendy Waldorf, the spokesman for the Cache Creek Casino said that they have decided to make the move primarily because of the request of their customers for more slot space.
Their renovations efforts however, is not yet final as it will still depend on how much space that they will need with their new slots offering. They plan to start remodeling the area on November 5, 2006, to give way to their slot machines. She further added that their slot and poker room would be space efficient as it would use some of their space that is unused. Bingo games were first played at the Cache Creek Casino over 20 years ago but it will be abruptly stopped as Cache Creek Casino’’s customers nowadays are more inclined to play slots than bingo. Employees from the Casino’’s bingo section will be transferred to other areas of the casino so they do not need to worry that they would lose their jobs because of the situation.
Aside from the planned renovation by the Casino at their gaming complex, they also plan to build an 18-hole top class golf course, a professional golfer’’s shop, club house, a practice and driving range that is expected to open in 2007. According to Ms. Waldorf, their bingo players are upset about the closure of their bingo area but most of them have decided that they will continue going to the casino.
